When I was in the tropics a few weeks ago, I had to alter my skincare regime somewhat. I was aware beforehand that my normal routine would not be compatible with the climate in Cebu. For example, I stopped using a toner as the tropical sun would have intensified its effect resulting in possible sunburn. But even then, I noticed some changes in the texture of my skin. I also noticed that the fine lines on my face were more visible. On a daily basis, I used sunblock before stepping out of the door. But the SPF 35 may not have been enough to prevent a few dark spots from appearing on my face. So after coming back home, I had a real dilemma. More like an emergency, actually! I immediately sought the help of a professional. My concerns were: dark spots, fine lines and uneven skintone & texture. She recommended I use Shiseido's White Lucent line. I started the new regime last night. I would like to track my progress here on my blog.
I am currently using Shiseido's White Lucent programme which consists of the following:
- Brightening Cleansing Foam ($33) - For cleansing in AM & PM
- Brightening Refining Softener Enriched N ($45) - Smooth on face after cleansing both AM & PM
- Brightening Protective Moisturizer N SPF 16 ($50) - Smooth on face after softener AM
- Brightening Moisturizing Emulsion N ($52) - For nighttime recovery. Smooth after cleansing PM
