The last time I was in Napa Valley was when I turned XX. I had gotten the perfect birthday present from someone special. If I remember correctly, he got me almost everything on the menu from a Calistoga spa! I was treated to a full-body massage, a facial and finally manicure/pedicure. It felt like heaven on earth. I must have unintentionally called out God's name more than a few times!
This past weekend, my cousins and I drove to the wine country. It hadn't really changed much since the last time I came. For the customary wine-tasting, we opted for Sterling Vineyard. Getting to this particular vineyard requires a short tram ride up to the top of a mountain where the entire winey is nestled. Not recommended for those afraid of heights, me included! But once up there, the breathtaking views made up for the horror of the tram ride. A $20 ticket includes the tram ride, self guided tour of the winery, and wine tasting which consisted of 4 whites & 1 red. Like most things in life, visiting the wine country & wine-tasting are best experienced when not rushed. We took our time and had a wonderful experience.
