This month marks the second-year anniversary of my recovery from surgery to remove a pinguecula off my right eye. As I have been getting tons of emails about this condition, mostly asking how my eyes have been doing since the surgery, I thought I'd post this update:
The Eye in question is still white and clear. There are no signs of any recurrences (fingers crossed!). It has not experienced any irritation whatsoever. I also don't feel the need to constantly use eye lubricants but I do use it occassionaly on both eyes when they feel dry and/or irritated. My brand of choice is Systane Ultra High Performance. And needless to say, I continue to protect my eyes with UVA/UVB-coated sunglasses when outdoors and in the sun. And when I can help it, I avoid the sun altogether. Hard to do, but necessary!
Continue sending me your emails and questions. I'm happy to respond to as soon as I can. Promise! equestriangrl@gmail.com.
