March Updates

  • It has been raining hard in San Francisco the past few days. Good thing I like the rain. I especially like it when I'm at work because it usually means I'm not the only one who's stuck indoors. Most people are, too!
  • The other day, I heard from an old friend whom I had not spoken to for at least 2 years. He told me he was finally getting married. Never dated the guy nor have I expressed any interest in dating him. But he made it sound like he was seeking my approval. Or disapproval, for that matter. Uhmmm... Hey, buddy, more power to ya!
  • Saw the news about the Turkish Airlines flight that crashed in Amsterdam. Makes me more scared-shit to fly again.
  • My jet-lag is finally gone. I'm sleeping & eating like normal again. Yay!
  • Opened my first Facebook account last week. Still not convinced it's any better than Myspace or Friendster.
  • Still reeling over my last holiday. That was major! I probably won't be able to do that again for years. You know why? I visited too many places in such a short time. Also, I flew to all my destinations, which means I spent way too much time at the airport (I flew 11 times in 17 days!). Lastly, it was so expensive!
  • I'm looking forward to my next trip: Hawaii in October. I'm starting to smell the plumerias already!
  • My Mom is coming to visit this month. Her first time in America. Can't wait to show her around.
  • Still debating whether having kids is really worth it.
  • Currently researching the possibility of living & working in Eastern Europe.
  • Starting last month and for a period of one & a half years, my job has required me to take 2 days of unpaid leave every month resulting in a 10% cut in my salary. So unfunny. Thanks, Arnold! But I got used to it fairly fast. I actually like having every other Fridays off now, in addition to my every other Mondays. All this boils down to: I have four-day workweeks. Not bad, after all.
  • Excited about the Obama administration's new policy on travel to Cuba. Hope it's implemented soon. I'm dying to go there.
  • Hope I get to join my Aussie friend in South America this summer.
  • Daylight Savings Time is almost here. So not looking forward to it.
