"Cenote"

Apparently, there are many "cenotes" or underground lakes around the Yucatán Peninsula region. The "cenote" we visited was pretty massive. In fact, I think this is one of the biggest and looks as if it has had a lot of preservation measures done to it. I've seen one similar to this in Bohol, Philippines but that was much smaller. This side trip came with the tour of the Chichen Itza.
