Yosemite

I managed to return to Yosemite one last time this year. I just couldn't resist the urge. The plan this time was for us to stay in a canvas tent in Curry Village. Having stayed in one of those tents before, I knew I was in for a somewhat inconvenient stay. It's October, after all. The temperatures were expected to dip to the 20's overnight. And since the tents have no power outlet inside, there was no heat available. Once we arrived at Yosemite, I was informed by the manager that they had overbooked the tents and asked if I was willing to compromise. I'm headstrong, the answer was NO without hearing what he had to offer. Luckily, I was with someone who managed to calm me down and convinced me to reconsider. The manager offered to give me a room at a hotel nearby, free of charge! Additionally, he offered to refund the money I had paid for the canvas tent plus free breakfast buffet for the following morning. Needless to say, we shook hands and were both happy.
